The most successful people to ever

live endured some form of suffering in the early journey. In fact, 70% of all off the most successful people, including dozens of celebrities and innovators in their fields all had to combat poverty, abuse, wars, isolation and mental health issues. That an incredible piece of information because there appears to be a link between people who have suffered the most and successes. In today’s clarity blog, I am going to discuss the link between suffering and success to change your outlook of your personal suffering.

A popular and widely debated question is ‘why do good people suffer’, which is equally a very true statement but very unfortunate. This question causes people to lose belief in a God or higher power. Those of us who have suffered something in our past have asked yourself the same thing. Those around us and religion would say that it all part of Gods divine plan, that suffering happens to cause people to gain faith in themselves, show forgiveness and to redeem the world. Which has some truth in it, even though traditional religion is heavily criticised for causing more suffering in the past and the ‘just war’ mentality it has; this statement is very true. Suffering brings out the best and worst in people. Often at times suffering is a motivation to improve yourself and rise above what’s taking place. To focus on your inner calling and follow it to the very end. When in the depths of suffering and pain you are given a choice. To either rise above it or to merely make yourself a victim. Unsuccessful people would allow themselves to be a victim, because they are making no effort to change the situation.

In fact often chaos in fact inspires people e to create something great. In 3rd world country across the globe (Kenya, Pakistan, Cuba) if you ever ask some young secondary school students what they want to be when there older. Many would reply Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher, Politician and the reasons why the reply with those types of jobs is because those are roles that they need. These youngsters have recognised there are gaps and they choice to fill them. Discovering that fact almost causes more trust in humanity. These youngsters understand that the greatest weapon on hand when combating ignorance and suffering is education. Which is something noble peace winner Malala Yousafzai mentioned in a conference with the UN. She is a perfect example of triumph against suffering.

To conclude suffering inspires people to bring out the best in them and refuse to be made a victim. It causes people to discover what is wrong and wish to change that. That you should never surrender under suffering and to battle against it. No matter what your faith is, there is no greater faith than to believe in yourself and to trust that things will improve.
