'Holly Hell' a scary insight

I have recently watched ‘Holly Hell’ a documentary about the inner working of the Buddha Field cult, following Will Allen (the directors) involvement in the cult for over 20 yrs. At the start, it was all peace, love and a sense of community which it appears that everyone is after. Yet as the documentary develops the Spiritual façade unravels to reveal a really sinister and dark side, which is really horrifying. The Cult leader had gained a huge following of very young, smart and qualified individuals. Managed to convince them through deep hypnotic healing sessions to isolate themselves from family and old friends. Used his knowledge gathered from other books from New age leaders and convinced the cult member it was all him, he’s what connected them to Source, it’s all him and you owe him everything. This clarity blog is to discuss a very taboo topic.

These cult leaders truly know the meaning in power with numbers. This is how they function, in a large community, completely isolated. Giving them just enough comfort, purposefulness and identity to keep them remaining in the group were regardless as much exploitation and abuse can take place, people remain loyal. Which is all kinds of wrong. The extreme parasitic leaders, would use the kindness of offers around them. As an example, the cult leader who was always wearing a speedo, would make his followers run around making him fruit salads for breakfast, paying theses unqualified healing sessions. The most questionable of them all, is where he places his thumb on these people mantels and transfer this spiritual energy, twitching the participants out causing them to believe they received this divine energy. Like some far-fetched biblical teacher. It was really makes you question, how psychological this phenomenon was, how the followers had so much faith in him that they persuaded themselves that he had given this gift causing their bodies to react the way they did. Chills.

Just be aware in theses spiritual circle. There are tell tail signs of being involved in a cult, being told to isolate yourself, having to delicate yourself, abusive behaviour. Be aware. It’s great that this documentary is around, sine it presence a reality no one wants to be involved in.
