Mantras are powerful tools which can use as a tool to improve a current mental state. These mantras can change our entire perception of the reality around us. It’s a very ancient technique, by reciting a small yet meaning full phrases in your mind for periods of time can help build long term memory of the phrase and also have more awareness. The limbic system in the brain is associated with memory, it’s placed at the front bottom part of the mind, it processes information received and stress it. A mantra can affect the mind even by creating new neurons. We as human beings are people of habit, and our habits effect our brain, we tend to naturally repeat things.

The more of a rhyme the mantra has a better, with correlating words and phrases are, the better they can be. Since, like music syllables brings a tone to the mantra, for those creating your own it’s often good to try and use similar words and phrases either starting with the same letter.
Here is a personal account on how introducing a mantra can change your perspective. Growing up I was very quick to judge people, I would always find it difficult to get along with my peers. I used to feel left out and outnumbered by offers around me. I was given an opportunity to meet and become friends with entirely different people one summer, it gave me both anxiety and excitement a part of me waned to experience a connection with those around me. I was never a popular girl yet I longed to gain the confidence of one. I was aware of mantras at the time, I would recite “I am open to myself so I can be open to others” that mantra and a few offers which in knew would boost my confidence. Bearing that in mind, when I started to meet and communicate with offers, I felt more comfortable. I became able to approach anyone and begin a conversation. Next thing I knew it I managed to join a group of 12, they all where vibrant and fun people.
H
ere’s a few I have used in the past…
Don’t stress, do your best, forget the rest
What you seek also seeks you
I am more capable then I believe
Peace is to be one’s own friend
Dream, believe, achieve
I plead for people to adopt your own mantras in life.
