Your inner critic

In all honesty, everyone has that inner critic in them, doubting your decisions in life, reminding you of all your flaws and trying to convincing you to never trust anyone or any opportunity. Some days it’s loud, clear and rambling, trying to weaken every part of your soul. While other days, it may be silent, still and peaceful whilst other thoughts fill your mind. In many ways, the critic in your mind, is the harsh tide under your boat, your conscience the compass. Thoughts toss and turn in the ocean of thoughts and remaining on track can be difficult. Yet still everyone pursues on, since in life we all deal with it but only a few can overcome it and be at peace with it. It’s an inner guidance installed into our brains, we can’t get rid of it, we live with it.
In order to survive, since the dawn of time, the critic has kept us in safe guard, many relate it to the red chakra at our base. It served a purpose, warning the cave man not to walk of the cliff. When babies begin to take their first steps on hard grown, they tumble a little and hit the grown, and instantly there’s a new guide activated, reminding the child of the pain of falling and to never attempt. As we get older, instead of it reminding us never to move forward, it predicts what’s going to happen, why you should be cautious even before you try. Allowing yourself to talk honestly about your struggles is good, or the storm will only build on itself.
Meditate, remind yourself that voice is not the enemy, just be aware of it and to never give it the power to change you.
